GD2U and COVID-19

Our role serving customers and the community during this time is a critical one. At every level of our company, we are working to provide the products and services that our customers and communities need most at this time.

Can I place an order? Will GD2U deliver my parcel?

Yes, GD2U continues to serve customers. When selecting a delivery address, be aware that companies and businesses may be closed and unable to receive parcels.

Are delivery times affected?

As the Coronavirus has spread, we have seen an increase in people shopping online. As a result, estimated delivery times for some items may be longer than usual at the moment.

Is it safe to receive orders?

According to the World Health Organization, “The likelihood of an infected person contaminating commercial goods is low and the risk of catching the virus that causes COVID-19 from a package that has been moved, travelled, and exposed to different conditions and temperature is also low.” You can find all the latest information on COVID-19 on the information pages of the UK Government and the World Health Organization websites.

Available for collection from our warehouse during our opening times: Monday – Friday 10am – 5pm.

COVID-19 Protocol for Click & Collect orders

  1. Everyone entering the building must wear a face covering.
  2. Please sanitize your hands with the sanitizer provided.
  3. Your contact details will be added to our visitor register for contact tracing.
  4. Please stay in Reception and observe the 2 metre social distancing rules.
  5. Have your order confirmation number and a valid form of ID (either a debit or credit card, passport, driving licence or utility bill), ready to show a member of our team.
  6. Your order will be brought to Reception for you.
  7. If you are self-isolating, family, friends or volunteers over the age of 18 can also pick up a Click & Collect order on your behalf. The person collecting the order must have the order confirmation number and a valid form of ID with them (either a debit or credit card, passport, driving licence or utility bill).
  8. If you are displaying signs of Covid-19, please follow Government guidelines to stay home. If you do not have someone to collect your order for you, we will be happy to rearrange your Click & Collect order.

Covid-19 Protocol for local deliveries

Our delivery drivers will always wear a face covering and gloves, and they have clear safety instructions to keep both themselves and our customers safe.

If you are self-isolating, please let us know by leaving a note on the ‘Order Review and Payment’ page. We also ask that customers please inform their driver as soon as they arrive at the property.

To keep contact to a minimum, our delivery drivers will carefully leave your shopping outside your home.

We ask that customers please observe social distancing rules when receiving their order from our delivery drivers.

If your order contains alcohol, and our driver believes someone is underage, in accordance with Challenge 25, they will request to see a valid form of photo ID before continuing with the delivery. Our drivers will remain at a safe distance when checking ID.

You can also choose a safe place location where the driver can leave your package if you can not answer the door. Drivers are asked to follow your delivery preference where possible.

In order to protect customers and their neighbours, we will only deliver parcels to neighbours when asked to do so by our customers. Please ask your chosen neighbour to confirm they are comfortable accepting parcels on your behalf before asking us to deliver to your neighbour. We will be unable to deliver to your neighbour in cases of local or national lockdown.

Deliveries Outside of Our Local Area

Arrival by Courier – £8.99 per order.

We use DHL to deliver outside of our local area.

When will your order be dispatched?

All orders placed Monday to Friday before Midday (12:00) will be dispatched on the same day.

Orders placed on Friday after Midday (12:00), and all day Saturday and Sunday, will be dispatched on Monday. (Excluding Bank Holidays.)

Please note: As the Coronavirus has spread, we have seen an increase in people shopping online. As a result, delivery times may be longer than usual at the moment.

FROZEN PRODUCTS

Please note: we package our frozen products with Woolcool and food friendly icepacks and send by courier, wherever possible, for next day delivery, by Midday, however, this is not guaranteed. Should the products arrive defrosted, we recommend consuming as soon as possible, and within 3 days.  Greek Deli 2 U will not be held liable for any replacement of products or refunds once goods have been dispatched from our warehouse.

*Orders containing fridge or frozen products cannot be dispatched  on Friday or over the weekend due to the perishable nature of these items.

*Please note, we are currently unable to deliver ice cream/sorbet, 20kg Cyprus potatoes, charcoal, firelighters and BBQ fluid outside of our GD2U local area.

ORDERS USING A DISCOUNT CODE

From time to time, GD2U will offer discount codes.

All products in the SPECIAL OFFER category are non refundable and exempt from any discount code applied.

PURCHASING ALCOHOL

The purchase of alcohol is strictly limited to persons aged 18 or over.

Please do not attempt to buy alcohol if you are underage.

Proof of age will be verified and required upon delivery.

Parcels that have not been verified with proof of age will be returned to GD2U.

A refund will not be issued and you will also be liable for return delivery costs.
